Some examples of our hands-on fundraising in 2007.......

United Kingdom Sports Association for People with Disabilities (UKSA)
This is a national charity that provides financial support to people with learning disabilities that wish to compete in international athletics. Abbey Solutions has continued to support the charity with its fundraising in 2007, helping it win funds from both trusts and the corporate sector with a significant donation from the Vodafone Group Foundation. Lambeth Council secured support from central government to establish a unique website and training programme for local residents. Abbey Solutions was responsible for writing the PID (Project Initiation Document). The project won an e-innovation award from government in 2006.

British Forces Foundation is a unique charity set up to entertain the troops in the UK and overseas. With the war in Iraq and Afghanistan this has been a particularly difficult time for all those involved in the armed forces. However, they were able to send big named stars to Iraq, Bosnia and Afghanistan due in part to our fundraising efforts. Abbey has also raised money for core funding requirements over the past 12 months. Visit www.bff.org.uk

Child Poverty Action Group (CPAG). CPAG is the leading charity campaigning for the abolition of poverty among children in the UK and for the improvement of the lives of low-income families. We were asked to provide support in developing a major bid to the lottery. Visit www.cpag.org.uk

Combat Stress is a national charity providing support to ex-service men and women who suffer from mental health problems. In 2006 we were asked to raise funds from Trusts and in a short period raised a significant amount of money. In 2007 we were asked to help them develop a new media campaign which our communications team led on. This was launched in all the national newspapers during the latter half of 2006 and has to date been the most successful media campaign the charity has run. In 2007 the charity received a cheque for £500,000 as a direct response of our work. Visit www.combatstress.org.uk

Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA). We were commissioned to kick start their fundraising and to focus on raising money from Trusts and Companies. This project continues into 2008.www.rospa.com
